Here is a Memorial Day BBQ invitation that I made as a postcard. The flag stamp is from Flag Quilt- May 2008 vintage stamp set. The flower stamp is from Friends Forever stamp set- April 2009 special. I used my Emboss Pad to ink up stamps and I used Tsukineko Embossing powder- black to make it pop. Tombow Markers Earth and the blending pen where used to color in the stamps and to make the shelf that the flower vase is setting on.

Forgotten post

Back in March of this year over at Paper Wings there were a couple of challeges that were given. I went ahead and challeged myself to do two of them. The card to the left is the first challenge I did. It was a Friday alternate sketch challenge. Instead of using a real ribbon with a bow I made mine with paper. The stamp set I used for this project was Random patterns and the hello hello stamp is from the level A hostess stamp set feel better. The paper is Cardstock Stack neutrals and Premium White Cardstock. The ink I used was Bordeaux from Cezanne Spots.
The next project was to make a friendship box. So that is what I did. The paper I used to cover

the chipboard was from a collection of paper that I got with my kit last year that is no longer available. The red paper is Scarlet Cardstock that I inked the edges with Burnt Umber Palette Pad. The stamp set I used was Random Patterns once again. I really had a lot of fun with this project. I wasn't going to do it because I thought it was going to be too much to do but it really was easy to do.

My gift to my mom
Here is a paperbag album that I made for a Mother's Day gift for my mom. I used white paper lunch bags but this could easily be done with brown or even with bigger paper bags.
To hold the album together I used a no snag hair elastic (this means it hasn't got a metal piece that binds it together.) The stamp set I used was Creative Inspiration
and my ink I used was once again my Impress Markers Bright. I love how cheery these colors make me feel. On some of the pages where I scribbled with my pink and green Impress markers I used a blending pen from my set of Tombow Markers Earth. I so enjoy making my own papers. The tabs are from the Creative Inspiration stamp set as well. If you would like any of the products that I have listed please visit my site link to the right or you can contact me. Have a wondeful day and please stop by again soon to see what else I have been working on.

May free download
Another fun free download to use. This sheet of tags coordinates with the Angelee SWIC and with the Natalee Accordian Album kit. The tags can be punched out with Mega Circle 2 1/2" punch, Giga Rectangle 1 1/2 x 2 9/16, Giga Square 2 1/8, and the Giga Shipping tag 2 3/4 or you can cut them out with a pair of scissors. I made the cards belowing using three of the tags from the free dowload. Just think of the items you can make or use with the tags...tags for gifts, cards, scrapbook pages, ATC, on envelopes this list could go on and on. Lets see what you come up with. Have fun and enjoy.

Thank you card
I guess this could be called an envelope card. I made this card thanking my aunt and uncle for inviting us to their family Easter breakfast and egg hunt. We had such a wonderful time. Was nice to see family that we hadn't seen in a while.

For this project I made the envelope card with Premium white cs and I made the folds with my scor-pal. I stamped on scrap pieces of Premium white cs, purple, and yellow cs from DCWV cardstock Stack Brights and Neutrals. The stamp set I used is a hostess set Cute as a Bug and a gift with purchase stamp the Thank You stamp. To cover the envelope card I used a pattern paper from a local craft store, the purple cs from the DCWV Neutrals and Premium white cs. For the stamped images that I stamped on the white cs I used my Impress markers to outline and color with. Then I used my blending pen from my package of Tombow markers Earth to blend the color around the image.

Easter Tags for baskets
I made the Easter tags for my aunt to put on the Easter baskets that she made up. The cards were made with white CS that I stamped on. The little bunnies and the Easter eggs are from the For All Seasons set. The carrot is from STOM set April 2008 (hippity hoppity I think). I could have used the carrot from the hoppity skippity set but I don't have that as of yet.
I placed the three stamps (bunny, carrot and egg) onto the 1 1/2"x 4 3/4" from the Acrylic Mounting Starter set. I used the Impress Markers Bright and inked up (using the brush tip end) each of the stamps and stamped on the card. I re-inked and continued stamping until I had the card all covered. This is a great way to make your own pattern paper with mulitiple stamps. For the second layer I tore up all four sides of the paper stamped the bunny from the Vintage stamp set SWAK from February 2009. I used the Impress Markers Bright again to ink up the bunny stamp and I used the same color marker (brush end) and inked the torn edges of the paper. Have fun with your stamps make your own paper. Use it for cards, scrapbook pages and projects.

New downloads from TAC
TAC offers free downloads that you are able to print out and create with. I decided to print out the same pattern on two different colors. The first sheet I printed out on scarlet cardstock and used in the card up above. The card was made using the premium white cardstock, the stamp set is squiggle ladybugs, and the ink is Palette -noir black.

The second print out was done on pastel purple copy paper that I used to alter this cream cheese box. I used a purple shade of paper from Neutrals cardstock stacks on top of the box and for the hinge/latch it is a level A hostess choice stamp set called Hinges. Palette French lilac was used to ink all the edges and corners of the box. The fern flower on top was cut out of a scrap piece of the paper I used to cover the box with. I had a lot of fun with the print outs. Now I will give these print outs a trying in black and white.

Toilet paper mini album
Here is a fun project to do. I found this tutorial over on Char's blog. Easy to follow with measurements and pictures. I used three different papers to cover the tp roll (final measurements the same as Char's tutorial). As I was working on this project I noticed that I glued the wrong end of one of the tubes so my stamped image (Monkey Business) was going to end upside down when I put the album together. Don't you just love these moments. hehehe.
So here I am trying to think how am I going to make this work. What can I do to fix this so it won't look like a huge mistake. Well I got to thinking one of the other stamped images was of a monkey hanging upside down from a tree branch. Could I get that branch to line up and not mess it up even more? Wouldn't know if I didn't try so I did.
I stamped another monkey (same image as mistaken upside down one). Cut it out right up to the line. I set it right over the top of my mistaken monkey. I used the brush end of my black Impress maker inked the branch of the tree only and then stamped the branch over my cut out image. I had a few spots where the black ink didn't show up so I used a thin black pen to draw in the line. There was a line I didn't want either which was the other monkey's foot but I drew a line to connect the branch so now the foot looks like a knot in the branch.
One final thing I needed to do fill in the space below the money. I wrote Just Hanging Out using my carmine Impress maker which matches the pink paper from the Winterberry Collection that I used. The space looked odd so it needed to be filled in.
So when you make a mistake on a project give it a chance. You may just find a wonderful way to fix it and have a lot of fun doing it. Even with making my mistake in the beginning I enjoyed this project and I will be making more.

Birthday Card
I made this birthday card and envelope for my son to give to a friend of his. This was a fun and easy card to make.
The balloons are from TAC February vintage stamp set- Sealed With A Kiss and the Happy Birthday stamp is a Gift With Purchase set (receive a GWP stamp for ordering $30.00 or more) . The paper is TAC premium white cardstock and scraps from matchmakers brights. The color medium I used was decorating chalks that I applied with cotton balls. Made white lines using a Hi-polymer eraser and a straight edge.
